SAM Restart Files

The SAM restart files contain information required to re-run a portion of a SAM simulation starting from the time in the restart file. The tar file provided to the user contains the restart files for the specific time. These files need to be combined with the simulation's ``samin`` file to actually do a simulation restart.

These restart files are useful for re-running portions of a simulation with alterred model output, e.g., increased output frequency or with additional variables.

The ``samrest`` files are approximately 10 GB for a warm-phase spectral-bin simulation using the 25.6 km-wide domain.
