Widespread open-cellular cumulus event with northerly flow

Description

A widespread open-cell cumulus event with modest (25–30 kt) northerly low-level flows. Cloud echo tops observed near or slightly above the ambient melting level (approximately 1.5–2.0 km AGL). The cloud echo tops and the melting level were both observed to decrease throughout the event.
